I want my hubby to be adventurous and learn to love something more than Doritos’s and manwich or ground beef and macaroni & cheese, oh please help him out of this "man food" coma he has been in all his life and help him learn that green is good!

Because to me FRESH is flame broiled not fried! My veggies come in a bag & they tasted like french fries! Ketchup counts as a veggie right? and there’s fruit in apple pies so that is alright .What’s inside my food I don’t know I can’t pronounce the words but i know it’s hydrogenated.

Todd has a deep love of American style “Dude Food”.which involves fried potatoes like French fries and tater tots. There are pizzas, milkshakes, ice cream, cookies, burgers, cheese steak, hoagies, fried chicken and gallons of beer. Dude Food is endless, tasty, easy to eat and fun for guys. It goes with sports and there is no regard for calories or nutrition. There is nothing polite or fancy.

I have been in a food rut since I was born! I used to only eat foods that were brown in color. Chicken nuggets, french fries, hamburgers, baked potatos, etc. I just recently started eating salad! I am in SERIOUS need of a taste intervention.

Because I am a Philadelphia firefighter and one of the main cooks in my station. The members of Engine 56 work hard and deserve a good meal. I cook alot of basic meals for my crew and would like to expand my abilities so that I can give the hard working members of Engine 56 some tasty and hearty meals. Engine 56 is like family to me and deserve only the best. This contest will help me to do that!

Because I am a meal merry-go-round and need to get off this crazy ride! Between work, school, homework and after-school activities, dinner too often takes a back seat. Same old, same old and can you make it in 20 miuntes or less? My family needs to break out of our boring dinner routine. SOS, Sabra!

Because I spent too many nights eating Top Ramen. Because I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch almost every single day. Because I don’t know the difference between Parsley, Basil, and Oregano. Because my childhood lunches consisted of Lunchables and my dinners consisted of frozen Marie Callenders.

Because I’m not adventurous with food at all. Number one, if it smells funny, the odds of me tasting it are slim to none. Secondly, I have this theory that I already know what I like, so why introduce other foods that may not be tasty? My coworkers are always trying to get me to try new foods. Since I’ve started working here, I’ve tried sushi and thai food —for the very first time.

Because I was raised on meat and potatoes and don’t like to try anything new. Ihave three kids and they are pretty adventurous eaters, but Ifeel like I hold them back because I am not willing to try new things, which limits their access to it. Help!

Because my palate has becomed BORED with predictable food choices. Chicken, beef, chicken! The constant degradation of uninspired taste buds is leading my life in an ominous direction. I NEED some spice! zing! kapow! I crave for use of my kitchen, messiness of my stove, food aromas filled with possibilities! Please Sabra, turn my ordinary nutritional existence into a celestial awakening!

Because I live in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Where I am surrounded by sports bars n grills. Where fine dining means a good fish fry or a steak and a baked potatoe!!!!! Trying something different means going to 1 of our 3 chinese buffet restaurants. AHHHHH!!! I crave something different, something unusual, something to convince me that there is food out there that isn’t deep fried with a side of rye!

Because when left unsupervised, he eats frozen piza rolls, vending machine chili dogs, and once got what was advertisied as a panini at a national gas station. While he paid for that last on e dearly, in the uper intestinal sense, he persist in the same ol’ ham sandwiches on plain bread with Cheetoes just to mix things up. And for added variety, deviled ham and potted meat on saltines as an appetizier.

Because Julie thinks that the main food groups are “smoothie”, “periogie”, and “cold cereal.” A fancy night of cooking is when she microwaves her frozen perogies and frozed vegetables to create “stir fry.” She has attempted to make a food blog, which is the sadest thing ever: http://unfortunatefood.blogspot.com/ . Please add some more food groups to Julie’s life.

Because I was in the Army for the last three years eating gruel, and before that, neither of my parents really knew how to cook anything besides frozen pizza, chili, and fried egg sandwhiches. So now I am a bachelor confined to fast food, scrambled eggs and grilled cheese. I just discovered hummus(OMG delicious) and want to add it to the menu at the independant movie theater I am opening.

I’ve traveled around the world as a Lt. Colonel in the Army National Guard, but I’m stuck in a food rut being born and raised in a Scandinavian community where all the food colors are white! Mashed potatoes, lutefisk, lefse, and sugar cookies are the common fare here. Our mirepoix base here is butter, cream and sugar. The summer food mantra here is “Gril ‘em if you got ‘em”. Help me change!

Because I used to spend countless hours cooking for local benefits, friends and family – fish dishes, Italian cuisine, soft shell crab, dips, appetizers, sauces, stuffed chickens, empanadas… anything under the sun! Recently, I’ve been reduced to popcorn, English muffin pizzas and baked sweet potatoes. I’ve lost my luster due to lack of inspiration around me!! HELP ME GET MY PASSION BACK!

Because there are only a few items in his diet. Breakfast - oatmeal & salt. Lunch - if it’s not honey mustard chicken with nothing on it... which makes it bread, chicken & mustard, then it’s pretzels. Dinner - turkey burger w mustard only & corn on the cob. Sometimes he will get crazy and have pasta - elbow macaroni with butter. This is a daily basis. Poor bloke is missing out.
